Removal And Installation

CAUTION: The yaw rate sensor will be damaged if dropped. Do not use a damaged yaw rate sensor.
CAUTION: Make sure the yaw rate sensor is correctly positioned.
  1. Remove the RH front seat. For additional information, refer to SEATING .
  2. Remove the scuff plate trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .

  3. Position the carpet aside.

  4. Remove the sensor bracket bolts.

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    1. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector.
    2. Disconnect the lateral acceleration sensor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the lateral acceleration sensor.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
