Check Condition Of RCM Module Mounting Bracket

Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Access RCM. See RESTRAINTS CONTROL MODULE (RCM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Inspect RCM mounting bracket for damage. If RCM mounting bracket is damaged, replace RCM module and mounting bracket. Restore sheet metal to its original shape and structural integrity. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Clear DTCs. See CLEARING DTCS under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform on-demand self-test. See ON-DEMAND SELF-TEST under DIAGNOSTICS. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK . If RCM mounting bracket is not damaged, replace RCM. Activate air bag system. Perform on-demand self-test. Perform system operation check.
