Use a Valve/Clutch Spring Pressure Gauge to check the valve spring for correct strength at the specified valve spring length.

- Refer to GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for 3.8L engines or GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for 4.6L engines.
- If out of specification, install new components as necessary. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD for 3.8L engines or CYLINDER HEAD for 4.6L engines.
