Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Locate Generic Electronic Module (GEM) behind left side of instrument panel, next to central junction box. See Figure. Disconnect GEM 26-pin harness connectors. See Figure. Release GEM locking tab. Slide GEM off mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure.
