Pinpoint Test O: The Luggage Compartment Lid Module Does Not Respond To The Diagnostic Tool

- O1 CHECK THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE C4081A FOR DAMAGE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Luggage Compartment Lid Module C4081a.
- Inspect the luggage compartment lid module C4081a for damage.
- Is the luggage compartment lid module C4081a OK?
- Yes : GO to O2.
- No : REPAIR the luggage compartment lid module C4081a. CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
- O2 CHECK CIRCUIT 70 (LB/WH) BETWEEN THE DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC) C251 AND THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE C4081A FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance between the luggage compartment lid module C4081a pin 7, circuit 70 (LB/WH), harness side and the DLC C251 pin 7, circuit 70 (LB/WH), harness side.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to O3.
- No : REPAIR the circuit in question. CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
- O3 CHECK FOR CORRECT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LID MODULE OPERATION
- Disconnect all the luggage compartment lid module connectors.
- Check for:
- corrosion
- pushed-out pins
- Connect all the luggage compartment lid module connectors and make sure they seat correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
- Is the concern still present?
- Yes : INSTALL a luggage compartment lid module. Refer to BODY CLOSURES . CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
- No : The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. CLEAR the DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. CARRY OUT the diagnostic tool data link test.
