Toe-In Adjustment: Front

  1. Start the engine and center the steering wheel. Turn the engine off, and hold the steering wheel in the "straight forward" position by attaching a rigid link from the steering wheel to the brake pedal. Remove the clamps from the bellows boot. See Fig 1 .
  2. Clean and lubricate the nuts and the tie-rod end threads. Loosen the nuts. Do not allow the bellows boot to twist when the tie-rod is rotated. Rotate the tie-rods to obtain the correct toe setting. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Start the engine and recenter the steering wheel. Recheck the toe settings and adjust if necessary. Tighten the nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the clamps.
