Removal and Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Lincoln Town Car. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect the battery. See BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Remove the lower screws. Unsnap and remove the CD-DJ and navigation system module (NSM) cover.

  3. Remove the upper screws.

  4. NOTE: The GPS antenna cable is attached to the NSM with a locking sleeve on the connector.

  5. Slide the NSM up out of the console, disconnect the three harness connectors and GPS antenna cable and remove the NSM
  6. Remove the two screws on each end of the bracket and remove the NSM.

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Make sure all connectors are correctly locked.
