Generic Electronic Module: Notes
WARNING:
Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. Proper grounding of technician and workplace is essential to prevent damage.
CAUTION:
Prior to removal of GEM, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to NGS tester. This information needs to be downloaded into new module once installed.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES
