Removal and Installation

Remove the hardtop if installed and lower the convertible top.

NOTE: The pin-type retainers are overlapped by the convertible top well cover brace and the convertible top well cover.

Detach the 7 convertible top well cover pin-type retainers.
- To install, use new pin-type retainers.

Gently pull the two corners of the protective cover away from the top brace until the 3 pin-type retainers on each side are disengaged and position the cover aside.

Raise the convertible top.
Remove the water shield.
Disconnect the connector.

Remove the screws and the module.

NOTE: The new module will have to be configured and the remotes programmed into the module. For additional information, refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
