Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the hardtop if installed and lower the convertible top.
  2. NOTE: The pin-type retainers are overlapped by the convertible top well cover brace and the convertible top well cover.
  3. Detach the 7 convertible top well cover pin-type retainers.
    • To install, use new pin-type retainers.

  4. Gently pull the two corners of the protective cover away from the top brace until the 3 pin-type retainers on each side are disengaged and position the cover aside.

  5. Raise the convertible top.
  6. Remove the water shield.
  7. Disconnect the connector.

  8. Remove the screws and the module.

  9. NOTE: The new module will have to be configured and the remotes programmed into the module. For additional information, refer to HANDLES, LOCKS, LATCHES AND ENTRY SYSTEMS .
  10. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
