Performance Tests: Notes

NOTE: Tools Required: ACR 2000 Air Conditioning Service Center (J-43600) and General Motors Tech 2 scan tool (version 19.005 or higher) or equivalent.

NOTE: If the ambient air temperature is lower than 32°F (0°C), the A/C compressor will not be enabled.

NOTE: Statements in the following tests contain additional information to help you confirm your diagnosis and lead you to a corrective action. When all pressure and temperature readings fall within the ranges of a given chart, use that chart to repair the vehicle.

NOTE: The following tests are written specifically for the General Motors Tech 2 scan tool. A generic scan tool may not be capable of performing all necessary test functions.
