System Tests: Notes
WARNING:
Deactivate air bag system before working around steering column. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS.
CAUTION:
When battery is disconnected or modules are replaced, vehicle computer and memory systems may lose memory data. Driveability problems may exist until computer systems have completed a relearn cycle. See appropriate COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION before disconnecting battery.
NOTE:
A Digital Volt-Ohmmeter (DVOM) is required to test the cruise control system. After each service or repair procedure has been completed, reconnect all components. Retest system operation to ensure components are functioning properly.
