Accessing Output Test Mode

To access output test mode using scan tool, perform the following:
- Perform necessary vehicle preparation and visual inspections.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn ignition on.
- Select NEW VEHICLE YEAR & MODEL.
- Select year, engine, model and any additional information requested by scan tool.
- Select DIAGNOSTIC DATA LINK.
- Select PCM-POWERTRAIN CTRL MODULE.
- Select ACTIVE COMMAND MODES.
- Follow operating instructions from scan tool menu.
- Select mode (i.e., HIGH SPEED FAN or LOW SPEED FAN).
- Select menu option to turn outputs ON (may link up to PIDs).
- Select menu option to turn outputs OFF.
