Removal and Installation

- If servicing the powertrain control module (PCM), connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle. Allow the diagnostic tool to identify the vehicle and obtain configuration data.
- All programmable module information will automatically be retrieved by the WDS.
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING AND CABLES .
- Disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
- Remove the bolts and the PCM.
- To install, tighten to 7 Nm (62 lb-in).
- If necessary, remove the bolts and the PCM bracket.
- To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
