Test K: Radio Interference

- Start engine and let idle. Tune radio to station where interference is present. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect upper generator 3-pin harness connector. Start engine and let idle. If interference is not still present, go to next step. If interference is still present, go to step 3.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Replace upper generator with known-good unit. See UPPER GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Start engine and let idle. If interference is not still present, upper generator was cause of problem. If interference is still present, install original generator and repair radio concern.
- Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Connect upper generator harness connector. Disconnect lower generator 3-pin harness connector. Start engine and let idle. If interference is not still present, replace lower generator. See LOWER GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If interference is still present, repair radio concern.
