Toe-In Adjustment: Front

  1. Start the engine and center the steering wheel. Turn the engine off, and lock the steering wheel in position. Check the toe settings. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. NOTE: Do not allow the steering gear bellows to twist when the front wheel spindle tie rod is rotated.
  3. Remove the clamps. See Fig 1 . Clean and lubricate the jam nut(s) and front wheel spindle tie rod threads. Loosen tie rod end jam nuts. Rotate the front wheel spindle tie rods.
  4. Tighten the jam nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install the clamp(s). Recheck the toe settings.
