- A V-block with six cylinder.
- A distributorless ignition system.
- A multiport, sequential fuel injection (SFI) system.
- A variable length induction system (intake manifold runner control).
- Overhead valves.
- Hydraulic tappets for automatic lash adjustment.
- Connecting rod parting faces that are unique with an interferences fit.
- A balance shaft.
