Removal and Installation

NOTE:
Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module can be damaged if exposed to these charges.
NOTE:
Do not allow any brake fluid or foreign material to enter the mating side of the Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module or damage to the solenoids can occur.
- If a new ABS module is being installed, connect the scan tool and upload the module configuration from the ABS module. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
- Remove the degas bottle. For additional information, refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Disconnect the ABS module electrical connector.
- Remove the 4 ABS module screws and the ABS module.
- To install, tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.NOTE: Visually inspect the ABS module terminals for damage before installation.
- If a new ABS module was installed, download the module configuration information from the scan tool. For additional information, refer to MODULE CONFIGURATION .
