Pinpoint Test AX: No Communication With The Parking Aid Module

  1. AX1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1040 (RD/BK) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Parking Aid Module.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the parking aid module C4014-1 (with front parking aid) or C4226-1 (without front parking aid), circuit 1040 (RD/BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes 

    GO to AX2

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. AX2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1205 (BK) FOR OPEN 
    • Measure the resistance between the parking aid module C4014-3 (with front parking aid), or C4226-4 (without front parking aid), circuit 1205 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes 

    REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue communication diagnostics.

    No 

    REPAIR the circuit.

    TEST the system for normal operation.
