Removal and Installation

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.0L ZETEC ENGINE

Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle control linkage and bracket.

VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 3.0L (4V) ENGINE
Disconnect the speed control cable from the throttle control linkage and bracket.
1. Disconnect the cable from the throttle control linkage.
2. Squeeze the tabs and disconnect the speed control cable from the bracket

ALL VEHICLES
Release the speed control cable cap.
1. Depress the speed control cable cap retaining tab.
2. Rotate the speed control cable cap.

Remove the speed control cable.
1. Depress the spring retainer.
2. Slide the core wire end out of the speed control servo pulley and remove the speed control cable.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
