Removal And Installation: Generator: Notes

CAUTION: The generator must be supported by hand after removing the bolts prior to disconnecting the electrical connector or damage to the harness may result.
CAUTION: Care must be taken when removing the generator to prevent damage to the air conditioning and cooling lines.
NOTE: The A/C suction line may need to be positioned rearward to ease removal of the generator.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT .
  2. Position the accessory drive belt off the generator pulley.
  3. Remove the front valance panel and air deflector.
  4. Remove the components in the order indicated in the figure below.

  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
