Restraint Control Module: Removal

- Disconnect battery ground cable and wait at least one minute. Deactivate air bag restraint system. See AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article in RESTRAINTS. Remove lower instrument panel cover. See Fig 1. Disconnect RCM electrical connector. Remove 3 RCM bracket retaining bolts and remove RCM and bracket assembly. To install, reverse removal procedure.
