Removal & Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Lincoln Blackwood. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Rotate center instrument panel finish panel vents inward. See Fig 1. Through vent openings, grasp climate control panel finish panel and pull outward. Remove climate control panel finish panel.
  2. Disconnect traction control switch connector and remove center instrument panel finish panel. See Fig 2.
  3. Remove 4 screws attaching control panel. See Fig 3. Disconnect electrical connectors from control panel. Remove nuts and disconnect vacuum harness connector. Remove control panel. See Fig 4.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Check system for proper operation.
