Engine Front Cover: Material

  1. Remove the RH valve cover. For additional information, Refer to VALVE COVER RH  in this article.
  2. Remove the LH valve cover. For additional information, Refer to VALVE COVER LH  in this article.
  3. Remove the belt idler pulleys and the belt tensioner. For additional information, Refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT, TENSIONER AND PULLEY  in this article.
  4. Remove the coolant pump. For additional information, Refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  5. Disconnect the upper radiator hose.
  6. Disconnect the lower radiator hose.
  7. Remove the oil pan. For additional information, Refer to OIL PAN, OIL PUMP, OIL PUMP SCREEN AND PICKUP TUBE  in this article.
  8. Remove the power steering pump. For additional information, Refer to STEERING SYSTEM .
  9. Remove the crankshaft front oil seal. For additional information, Refer to CRANKSHAFT PULLEY AND CRANKSHAFT SEAL  in this article.
  10. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.
