Operational Test OTD - Time Lag Test
- Use a stopwatch to measure the time lag between the gearshift lever positions.
- Connect 88 Digital Multimeter as a tachometer.
- Turn key ON, engine running (KOER).
- Depress brake pedal and shift the gearshift lever from N to (D) range.
- Measure and record the elapsed time between the shifting of the gearshift lever and the feel of the shift engagement.
- Idle the engine in N range for 1 minute to allow the ATF to cool.
- Depress the brake pedal and shift the gearshift lever from N to R range.
- Measure and record the elapsed time between the shifting of the gearshift lever and the feel of the shift engagement.
- Repeat the Operational Test OTD - time lag test three times and average the results. Time lag should be approximately between 0.9-1.1 seconds. Refer to TIME LAG EVALUATION CHART .
