Installation (Service Kit Ocs)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Mercury Monterey and 2004 Ford Freestar. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. DO NOT activate air bag system at this time. If replacing original equipment OCS, service kit OCS includes seat cushion foam pad, bladder with pressure sensor and OCS ECU, and must be installed as an assembly.
  2. When installing service kit OCS, main seat wire harness pressure sensor electrical connector is not used. Connect main seat wire harness to service kit OCS electrical connector. See Fig 2 . Tie strap all loose wire harnesses and electrical connectors out of way.
  3. Tighten front seat cushion and seat back-to-seat track bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Install front seat in vehicle. Zero OCS sensor. See ZERO OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR (OCS)  under DIAGNOSTICS. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
