In-Vehicle Servicing: Flexplate: Installation

4.6L (2V) engine

Install the flexplate and the 6 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).

5.4L (2V) engine

Install the flexplate and the 8 bolts. Tighten the bolts in 2 stages in the sequence shown.
- Stage 1: Tighten to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft).
- Stage 2: Tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
