Removal And Installation

NOTE: Prior to removal of the module, it is necessary to upload module configuration information to a scan tool. This information needs to be downloaded into the new module once installed. For additional information, preform MODULE CONFIGURATION article.

NOTE: A new rear audio and temperature control (RATC) module is delivered in a manufacturing mode with a pre-set DTC of B2477 (Module Configuration Failure). This DTC will clear when the module has been successfully configured during programmable module installation (PMI).

NOTE: This step is only necessary if the RATC module is being replaced.

Upload the module configuration information from the RATC module. For additional information, preform MODULE CONFIGURATION article.
Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, preform SEATING article.
Drill out the 2 rivets, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the RATC module.

NOTE: Once the new module is installed (if it was replaced), it is necessary to download the module configuration information from the scan tool into the new module. For additional information, preform MODULE CONFIGURATION article.

NOTE: Use the special tool to install the new rivets.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
