Pinpoint Test A: No Communication With The Parking Aid Module

CAUTION: Use the correct probe adaptor(s) when making measurements. Failure to use the correct probe adaptor(s) may damage the connector.
  1. A1 CHECK CIRCUIT 1040 (RD/BK) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: Parking Aid Module C4014.
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the parking aid module C4014-1, circuit 1040 (RD/BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 

    Yes  : GO to A2.

    No  : VERIFY the smart junction box (SJB) fuse 29 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.

  2. A2 CHECK CIRCUIT 57 (BK) FOR AN OPEN 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Measure the resistance between the parking aid module C4014-4, circuit 57 (BK), harness side and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 

    Yes  : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to continue communication diagnosis.

    No  : REPAIR the circuit. TEST the system for normal operation.
