Test C: Charge Warning Indicator On With Engine Running, System Is Charging

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect generator 2-pin connector. Start engine and observe charge warning indicator. If indicator illuminates, go to next step. If indicator does not illuminate, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect joint connector No. 2, located behind top left side of instrument panel. Start engine and observe charge warning indicator. If warning indicator illuminates, repair Yellow wire between joint connector No. 2 and instrument cluster. If warning indicator does not illuminate, repair Yellow/Black wire between joint connector No. 2 and generator. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Check system operation.
