Test D: Charge System Indicator Flickers Or Operates Intermittently

  1. Turn ignition off. Inspect generator and battery junction box connections for loose, damaged or corroded terminals. Repair as necessary and check system operation. If all connections are okay, go to next step.
  2. Inspect accessory drive belt for condition and proper tension. Replace as necessary and check system operation. If belt is okay, replace generator. See GENERATOR  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
