Test C: INCORRECT OPERATION: Testing

  1. Check Orange Wire For A Short To Ground

Disconnect right cooling fan motor. Disconnect cooling fan relay 3. Measure the resistance between the cooling fan relay 3 connector terminal No. 30 (Orange wire) and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? If yes, go to next step. If no, repair Orange wire for a short to ground. Test the system for normal operation.
  2. Check Orange/Black Wire For A Short To Ground

Disconnect cooling fan relay 5. Measure the resistance between the cooling fan relay 5 connector terminal No. 30 (Orange/Black wire) and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? If yes, test cooling fan relay 5. See RELAYS  under COMPONENT TESTS. If the relay tests okay, go to next step. If no, repair Orange/Black wire for a short to ground. Test the system for normal operation.
  3. Check Violet Wire For A Short To Ground

Disconnect left cooling fan motor and cooling fan relay 4. Measure the resistance between the cooling fan relay 4 connector terminal No. 30 (Violet wire) and ground. Is the resistance greater than 10,000 ohms? If yes, test cooling fan relay 4. See RELAYS  under COMPONENT TESTS. If no, repair Violet wire for a short to ground. Test the system for normal operation.
