NOTE: Failure to disconnect Central Security Module (CSM) harness connectors in specified order, will cause a false PID and possible diagnostic trouble code. Disconnect harness connector C274a, then C274b. When connecting CSM, connect harness connector C274b, then C274a.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove left front door scuff plate. Remove left side trim panel. Disconnect CSM 22-pin harness connector C274b first, then disconnect 26-pin harness connector C274a. Harness connector C274b is on left side of CSM, when looking directly toward module harness connectors. Remove attaching nuts and module. To install, reverse removal procedure, connecting harness connector C274a before harness connector C274b. Tighten CSM mounting nuts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
