Intermediate Clutch Cylinder: Disassembly

  1. Remove the intermediate clutch pack.
    1. Remove the snap ring.
    2. Remove the pressure plate.
    3. Remove the clutch pack.
    4. Remove the cushion spring.

  2. CAUTION: Do not fully compress the intermediate clutch spring retainer.

  3. Using the special tool, compress the intermediate clutch return spring and remove the snap ring.
  4. NOTE: The seal is part of the piston and is repaired as an assembly.

  5. Remove the intermediate clutch balance piston assembly.
  6. Remove the intermediate clutch return spring.

  7. NOTE: The seal is part of the piston and is repaired as an assembly.

  8. Remove the intermediate clutch piston.
  9. Remove the intermediate clutch piston inner seal.
