Windshield Wiper: Notes

    CAUTION: The windshield wiper system has an auto-park feature. It is necessary to disconnect the battery.
  1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to GENERATORS & REGULATORS .
  2. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table.

    To remove individual parts only, carry out the listed steps: 

    WINDSHIELD WIPER COMPONENT REMOVAL STEPS

    Part Steps
    Windshield wiper pivot arms 1-3
    Mounting arm and pivot shaft 1-12
    Windshield wiper motor 1-17

  3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
