Pinpoint Test G: No Communication With The Variable Assist Power Steering (VAPS) Module
- G1 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE VAPS MODULE
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: VAPS Module C2231b.
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the VAPS module C2231b, harness side and ground of the following:

- Are the voltages greater than 10 volts?
- Yes
: GO to G2.
- No
: REPAIR the circuits in question. REPEAT the self-test.
- G2 CHECK THE VAPS MODULE GROUND
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: VAPS Module C2231b.
- Measure the resistance between the VAPS module C2231b-12, circuit 676 (PK/OG), harness side and ground.

- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
