Component Testing Procedure

MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH - COMPONENT TESTING

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Power and Ground Checks Before Any Other Tests 10 and 7
10 and 12
11 and 9
11 and 14
All window switches - at test Open circuit
9 and 15
14 and 8
7 and 13
12 and 6
All window switches at test Closed circuit
Left front window circuit 10 and 6 Up Closed circuit
10 and 13 Down Closed circuit
Right front window circuit 11 and 8 Up Closed circuit
11 and 15 Down Closed circuit


MASTER WINDOW/DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH - COMPONENT TESTING

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Lock Switch Circuit 3 and 2 Lock Closed circuit
1 and 4 Lock Closed circuit
Rest Closed circuit
Unlock Switch Circuit 3 and 4 Unlock Closed circuit
5 and 2 Rest Closed circuit

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Up Switch Circuit 3 and 5 Up Closed circuit
4 and 1 Up Closed circuit
Rest Closed circuit
Down Switch Circuit 3 and 1 Down Closed circuit
2 and 5 Down Closed circuit
Rest Closed circuit

Lock Switch Circuit 8 and 9 Lock Closed circuit
7 and 10 Lock Closed circuit
Rest Closed circuit
Unlock Switch Circuit 8 and 7 Unlock Closed circuit
6 and 9 Unlock Closed circuit
Rest Closed circuit
