Component Testing Procedure

MASTER WINDOW ADJUST SWITCH COMPONENT TESTING (EXPEDITION)

Circuit to test Connect self-powered test light or ohmmeter to terminals Move switch to these positions A good switch will indicate
Power and Ground Checks Before Any Other Tests  8 and 7, C504b Window lockout Off Closed circuit
5, C504b and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 C504a Rest
8, C504b and 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 C504a Rest Open circuit
Driver front window circuit  8, C504b and 5, C504a Up Closed circuit
6, C504a and 5, C504b
8, C504b and 6, C504a Down
5, C504a, and 5, C504b
Up 800Ω - 1000Ω
one-touch down  5, C504b and 8, C504b Rest 800Ω - 1000Ω
Passenger front window circuit  8, C504b and 7, C504a Up Closed circuit
8, C504a, and 5, C504b
8, C504b and 8, C504a Down
7, C504a, and 5, C504b
Left rear window circuit  8, C504b and 2, C504a Up Closed circuit
1, C504a and 5, C504b
8, C504b and 1, C504a Down
2, C504a and 5, C504b
Right rear window circuit  8, C504b and 3, C504a Up Closed circuit
4, C504a and 5, C405b
8, C504b and 4, C504a Down

Illumination  Connect pin 8, C504b to 12V DC power and pin 5, C504b to ground. Visually inspect switch to verify illumination
