Pinpoint Test C: DTC 1555 - Ignition Run/Start Circuit Failure

- C1 CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH
- Carry out the Ignition Switch Component Test. Refer to COMPONENT TESTING .
- Is the ignition switch OK?
Yes : GO to C2.
No : INSTALL a new ignition switch. REFER to IGNITION SWITCH . CLEAR the DTC. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C2 CHECK CIRCUIT 1522 (DG) FOR AN OPEN
- Connect: Ignition Switch C250.
- Remove central junction box (CJB) fuse 10 (5A).
- Key in ACCESSORY position.
- Measure the voltage between the CJB fuse 10 (5A) circuit 1522 (DG), input side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes : GO to C3.
No : VERIFY CJB fuse 10 (5A) and 12 (10A) are OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 1522 (DG) for an open. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
- C3 CHECK CIRCUIT 1717 (VT/OG) FOR AN OPEN
- Remove central junction box (CJB) fuse 22 (10A).
- Measure the voltage between the CJB fuse 22 (10A) circuit 1717 (VT/OG), input side and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
Yes : REPAIR or INSTALL a new CJB. CLEAR the DTCS. TEST the system for normal operation.
No : VERIFY CJB fuse 20 (10A), 22 (10A), 24 (10A) and 26 (10A) are OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 1717 (VT/OG) for an open. CLEAR the DTCs. TEST the system for normal operation.
