Traction Control with Roll Stability Control
The anti-lock brake system (ABS) with traction control and roll stability control consists of the following components:
- Hydraulic control unit (HCU)
- ABS module
- Stability traction control switch
- Steering wheel rotation sensor
- Stability control sensor cluster (contains the accelerometer[s], roll rate sensor and yaw rate sensor)
- Front wheel speed sensors
- Front wheel speed sensor rings (integral to the wheel bearing and hub assemblies)
- Rear wheel speed sensors
- Rear wheel speed sensor rings (integral to the halfshafts)
- Brake pressure transducer (integral to the ABS module)
- Brake fluid level sensor
- Brake pedal force switch (integral to the brake booster)
- Brake booster solenoid (integral to the brake booster)
- Yellow ABS warning indicator
- Traction control/roll stability control indicator ("sliding car" indicator)
The front wheel speed sensor rings are integral to the front bearing and hub assemblies. Refer to FRONT SUSPENSION - REAR WHEEL DRIVE (RWD) or FRONT SUSPENSION - FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) .
The rear wheel speed sensor rings are integral to the rear halfshafts. Refer to REAR DRIVE HALFSHAFTS .
