Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Piston: Assembly

  1. Lubricate the piston pin and piston pin bore with clean engine oil.
    2. NOTE: During assembly the small end of the connecting rod must be heated to 232°-316°C (450°-600°F).

  2. Using the special tool, press the piston pin into the piston and the connecting rod.
  3. Lubricate the piston and the new piston rings with clean engine oil.
  4. Install the piston rings onto the piston.
