Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
    2. Fig 1: Identifying Output Shaft Speed (OSS) Sensor Electrical Connector

  2. Disconnect the output shaft speed (OSS) sensor electrical connector.

    NOTE: Prior to removing the OSS, make sure that the area around the sensor is free of foreign material to prevent contamination of the transmission.
  3. Remove the OSS sensor.
    • Remove the bolt.
    • Remove the OSS sensor.
