Transmission Support CROSSMEMBER: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING AND LIFTING article.
  2. Install a suitable high-lift transmission jack.
  3. Fig 1: Identifying Wire Harness Retaining Clips

  4. Remove the 2 wire harness retainers from the rear crossmember and position the wire harness aside.

  6. Remove the heat shield screws.

  8. Remove the LH crossmember nuts.

  10. Remove the LH crossmember bracket.

  16. Remove the rear transmission mount nuts and the rear crossmember.
