If there is a concern with the speed control cable, REPAIR or INSTALL a new speed control cable. REFER to Speed Control Cable . TEST the system for normal operation. The speed control system does not control the vehicle speed when deactivated. ADVISE the customer the brakes must be applied to slow the vehicle.
The speed control is inoperative when towing a trailer	Aftermarket trailer tow wiring harness	ADVISE the customer that the factory trailer tow wiring harness must be used.
