  • No communication with the ABS module

  • No communication with the Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM)
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • SASM 
  • The red brake warning indicator is always/never on
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Brake fluid level
  • Instrument Cluster (IC)
  • ABS module
  • The yellow ABS warning indicator is always/never on
  • IC 
  • Brake fluid level
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • ABS module
  • The stability/traction control indicator "sliding-car icon" is never/always on
  • IC 
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Stability/traction control switch
  • ABS false activation, ABS too sensitive, ABS activates on normal stop
  • Brake pads
  • Brake calipers and/or guide pins
  • Parking brake shoes out of adjustment (dragging)
  • Wheel speed sensor rings
  • INSPECT the wheel speed sensor rings for damaged teeth.
  • DTCs present in the ABS module
  • CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. RETRIEVE and RECORD the ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
  • The traction control system cannot be disabled
