SYMPTOM CHART

No communication with the ABS module	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors ABS module	REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION to diagnose the no communication concern.
No communication with the Steering Angle Sensor Module (SASM)	Fuse Wiring, terminals or connectors SASM	REFER to MODULE CONFIGURATION to diagnose the no communication concern.
The red brake warning indicator is always/never on	Wiring, terminals or connectors Brake fluid level Instrument Cluster (IC) ABS module	RETRIEVE all DTCs and REFER to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART . If no DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The yellow ABS warning indicator is always/never on	IC Brake fluid level Wiring, terminals or connectors ABS module	RETRIEVE all DTCs and REFER to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART . If no DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
The stability/traction control indicator "sliding-car icon" is never/always on	IC Wiring, terminals or connectors Stability/traction control switch	RETRIEVE all DTCs and REFER to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART . If no DTCs are present, REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in INSTRUMENTATION, MESSAGE CENTER, AND WARNING CHIMES .
ABS false activation, ABS too sensitive, ABS activates on normal stop	Brake pads Brake calipers and/or guide pins	ELIMINATE the base brake system as the cause of the problem. REFER to Diagnosis and Testing in BRAKE SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
	Parking brake shoes out of adjustment (dragging)	CHECK and if necessary, ADJUST the parking brake shoes. REFER to PARKING BRAKE AND ACTUATION .
	Wheel speed sensor rings	INSPECT the wheel speed sensor rings for damaged teeth.
	DTCs present in the ABS module	CARRY OUT the ABS module self-test. RETRIEVE and RECORD the ABS module DTCs. GO to the ABS MODULE DTC CHART .
The traction control system cannot be disabled	IC Circuitry Stability/traction control switch	GO to PINPOINT TEST M .
