Pinpoint Test G: Air Conditioning (A/C) And RECIRC Modes Are Inoperative

  1. G1 CHECK CIRCUIT 29-FA13 (OG) FOR VOLTAGE 
    • Disconnect: A/C Switch Assembly C2263
    • Key in ON position.
      • Fig 1: Measuring Voltage

    • Measure the voltage between function selector switch C2263-8, circuit 29-FA13 (OG) and ground.
    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    1. YES  : Go to  G2.
    2. NO  : VERIFY the central junction box (CJB) fuse 36 (7.5A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR circuit 29-FA13 (OG) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. G2 CHECK CIRCUIT 91-FA13 (BK/OG) FOR GROUND 
    • Key in OFF position.
      • Fig 2: Measuring Resistance

    • Measure the resistance between function selector switch C2263-12, circuit 91-FA13 (BK/OG) and ground.
    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    1. YES  : INSTALL a new function selector switch. TEST the system for normal operation.
    2. NO  : REPAIR circuit 91-FA13 (BK/OG) for an open. TEST the system for normal operation.
