Compass Calibration

  1. For optimum calibration, drive to an open, level location away from large metallic objects or structures. Switch off all non-essential electrical accessories (rear window defrost, heater A/C, map lamps, wiper, etc.) and make sure all the doors are closed.
  2. Start the vehicle.
  3. Press the INFO button on the message center and hold for 2 seconds. When the temperature display appears, release the INFO button.
  4. Press the INFO button for 2 more seconds and the message CIRCLE SLOWLY TO CALIBRATE will display.
    5. NOTE: Calibration is complete when the display shows the actual compass heading.
  5. Drive the vehicle in a tight 360 degree circle to calibrate the compass.
