Pinpoint Test E: No Communication With The Remote Climate Control Module - EATC

  1. E1 CHECK CIRCUIT 651 (BK/YE) 
    • Key in OFF position.
    • Disconnect: Remote Climate Control Module C228.
    • Measure the resistance between the remote climate control (RCC) module C228 pin 4, circuit 651 (BK/YE) and ground.

    • Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? 
    • Yes  : GO to  E2.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 651 (BK/YE). TEST the system for normal operation.
  2. E2 CHECK CIRCUIT 385 (WH/RD) 
    • Measure the voltage between the RCC module C228 pin 3, circuit 385 (WH/RD) and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : GO to  E3.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 385 (WH/RD). TEST the system for normal operation.
  3. E3 CHECK CIRCUIT 298 (VT/OG) 
    • Key in ON position.
    • Measure the voltage between the RCC module pin 2, circuit 298 (VT/OG) and ground.

    • Is the voltage greater than 10 volts? 
    • Yes  : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network concern.
    • No  : REPAIR circuit 298 (VT/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.
