WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Mercury Sable and 2005 Ford Taurus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- E1 CHECK CIRCUIT 651 (BK/YE)
- Key in OFF position.
- Disconnect: Remote Climate Control Module C228.
- Measure the resistance between the remote climate control (RCC) module C228 pin 4, circuit 651 (BK/YE) and ground.
- Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
- Yes : GO to E2.
- No : REPAIR circuit 651 (BK/YE). TEST the system for normal operation.
- E2 CHECK CIRCUIT 385 (WH/RD)
- Measure the voltage between the RCC module C228 pin 3, circuit 385 (WH/RD) and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : GO to E3.
- No : REPAIR circuit 385 (WH/RD). TEST the system for normal operation.
- E3 CHECK CIRCUIT 298 (VT/OG)
- Key in ON position.
- Measure the voltage between the RCC module pin 2, circuit 298 (VT/OG) and ground.
- Is the voltage greater than 10 volts?
- Yes : REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the network concern.
- No : REPAIR circuit 298 (VT/OG). TEST the system for normal operation.
