Removal and Installation
1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.

2. NOTE: Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister vent solenoid electrical connector and the immediate surrounding area of any dirt or foreign material.

Disconnect the EVAP canister vent solenoid electrical connector.

3. Depress the locking tab outward, rotate the EVAP canister vent solenoid clockwise and remove it from the dust separator.
- Apply clean engine oil to the EVAP canister vent solenoid O-ring seal upon installation.







4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Carry out the Evaporative Emission System Leak Test. Testing and Inspection
- Carry out the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle.
