Powertrain Control Module (Pcm) Connector Pin Reference Chart
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Ford RV Cutaway, 2009 Ford Econoline, 2009 Ford E450 Super Duty, and 2009 Ford Cutaway. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
The PCM reset occurs when the PCM momentarily reboots or is turned off and on while the engine is operating. If the condition occurs a single time, the engine momentarily stumbles and the PCM goes through a normal ignition on cycle, including turning the glow plug lamp and glow plugs on, and attempts to validate the accelerator pedal position. If the pedal is not at the idle position when this concern occurs, pedal authority is not allowed by the PCM until the accelerator pedal is released and the engine returns to idle.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
- loose, damaged or corroded connections
- harness circuits: VPWR and PWRGND
