The engine cranks slowly	Battery Starter motor	CARRY OUT the Starter Motor - Ground Circuit component test.
The starter spins but the engine does not crank	Starter motor	INSPECT the starter motor mounting and engagement. REFER to Starter Motor Drive Gear and Flywheel Ring Gear Inspection .
	Damaged flywheel or flexplate ring gear teeth	INSPECT the flywheel or flexplate for damaged, missing or worn teeth. REPAIR as necessary.
